Warning to all Government Stimulus Insulation Rebate customers, the ‘sharks’ are circling.

1. Beware of insulation salespeople and companies that have not operated in your area before, their warranties and guaranties may not be of any value when the rebates finish and they disappear, as they will, 4 Seasons have been a leading NSW insulation manufacturer and installer for the past 10 years working in the Sydney, central coast and hunter regions for the past 17 years

Beware of non-certified insulation even from established companies, there is a risk of roof fires with all types of insulation, collapsing and settling insulation and vermin infestation in batt products, loose fill and foil insulation products. If the product does not carry an independent product certification or the company does not have management certification by a properly registered certifying body then don’t consider their business or their products. The building codes of Australia require this why don’t you.

3. Beware, don’t hand out cash deposits unless you are absolutely certain the company will honour their agreements, especially companies and salespeople from interstate.

4. Beware, installers cannot be experienced after a week or two of training, if a business is not listed in the last ‘yellow pages’, be careful. Anyone can build a website in a day and project an impressive image.

5. Beware, if you are not sure about an insulation contractor, call us now, we will tell you if we have heard of them.

6. Beware, thermal ‘R’ rating and insulation thickness is not the most important insulation aspect to consider, quality of installation is more important. 5% gaps in the insulation can reduce thermal rating by up to 50%. 7. Pricing, generally fibreglass insulation batts installed correctly $1600.00 for an average house, pump-in insulation $2,000.00 and polyester batt insulation $2,500.00. Price variations depend on access conditions, existing ducted air conditioning, flat roof and cathedral ceiling construction, the need for prior ceiling cleaning and type of roof construction.
